Today I’m going to show you how to make some adorable baby announcements for your next baby but I’m also going to show you how to make some really cute shower invitations. If you don’t know if you’re having a boy or girl I have some great ideas for that too. I’ll also show you some great thank you notes for your guests and some cute baby gifts as well. Stay tuned and watch though these videos for all the info you’ll need. If you take a look at these items you’ll get a better idea of what lies ahead. Here we have some grey color schemes and duplicable ideas. You can even create thank you notes and birth announcements using pictures. I can show you some really fun ideas using different colors like pink, blue, green or yellow. I’ll even show you how you can use an alphabet set to create beautiful framed ideas. You can make your announcement a scrapbook page so everyone who receives it can save it in their scrap book for years to come. Some of the tools that you’ll need are cardstock, a paper cutter, hole and shape punches, permanent and temporary adhesives, photo friendly adhesive such as acid free tape, and a bone folder. You can even use a stapler and look for colored staples at office supplies stores.
So now I’m going to show you how to create beautiful expecting a baby cards. It lets everyone know about the great news and gives them time to get ready for it and get excited. When you want to do that; it doesn’t have to be a full card, it can be a post card and it’s nice if you want to use some vellum or some card stock. Use that and print your information off onto it from the computer. Cut them up and use some beautiful card stock to embellish that. Just as an example I’ll read you what this one says. “We are delighted to announce that we are expecting an addition to our family. Little baby Miller is due to arrive in October”. Something along those lines would work well. If the gender is unknown, you can use gender neutral baby colors. With the pastels the purple and yellow look great together. If you know the gender you can use pink or blue if you want as well. I put a little bit of tape on the back of the vellum to attach it to the card stock. Now just take a hole punch and punch two small holes side by side above the lettering. With some white ribbon, very easily just thread it through the front then criss cross in the back and you should have enough room to thread it out each side again then trim off the excess. This method is great because you don’t have to pay any extra postage and it looks cute. This is a basic example but I have more ideas if you just continue watching the flowing video series. I’ll finish going over all of these techniques with you and you’ll be equipped with all the crafting knowledge to have your baby announcement shine.
